Robert Weinrich’s Great Uncle established our family bakery business in South Philadelphia in the 1880’s. Robert’s father Ludwig left Germany and came to this country in 1911. Ludwig immediately went to work for his uncle and then his brother in the bakery business until 1924 when he opened his first bakery.

Robert was born and raised in the bakery business learning the family trade and then opened his shop here at 3545 West Chester Pike in 1961. Robert was soon married and began raising his family in the bakery business. We remain committed as a family business to continue the traditional German baking that was established by our family over 130 years ago.

Robert continues to bake in the tradition of his father and great uncle.  Using only the purest, freshest and highest quality ingredients to produce the best quality and great tasting pasties!
